Engineering - Boiler and Furnace Production

HOBRA refractory fibrous materials have found the largest application in the production of boilers and furnaces owing to their ideal properties for these products.

Such as the excellent insulation capacities (low heat conductivity), resistance to sudden temperature changes (thermal shocks), fast product (equipment) commissioning, low weight of insulation (lower weight of final product) and, last but not least, higher resistance to vibrations and shocks, which eliminates insulation damage during transport.

An example of the applications of HOBRA insulation products in boiler manufacture is insulation for direct contact with heat where TIBREX® boards are used, or secondary insulation, where more products are used, e.g. SIBREX® 140 and SIBREX® 250 (insulation is used to reduce temperature and prevent stress by means of the expansion component).

An example of the applications of HOBRA insulation products in furnace production is the insulation of external components where IZOBREX® is used in general, and the insulation of individual furnace chambers where IZOBREX® and also SIBREX® 140 are used.

HOBRA insulation products are also frequently used for high-temperature sealing for all applications, such as gaskets for flanges, exhausts, inspection holes, etc. FLESIBREX® refractory paper is mostly used in these applications.

FLESIBREX®

FLESIBREX®

FLESIBREX® refractory paper is produced using a paper-processing technology from a water suspension consisting of loose aluminosilicate fibres, organic binder and admixtures. The paper is easily workable and sufficiently strong, and it can be wound onto various pipes and curved surfaces.
TIBREX®

TIBREX®

TIBREX® refractory boards are manufactured from ceramic, aluminosilicate heat-resistant fibers bonded only with an inorganic binder. The boards are used for various purposes where high thermally-insulating capacity and shape stability under higher temperatures is required.
SIBREX®140

SIBREX®140

SIBREX®140 refractory boards are manufactured from ceramic, aluminosilicate fibers bonded with combined inorganic and organic binders and are used as thermally insulating materials at temperatures up to 1,100 °C.
SIBREX® 300

SIBREX® 300

The solid refractory SIBREX® 300 boards are produced using paper-making technology, are made of aqueous suspension composed of fibrillated ceramic aluminosilicate fibers (previously also known as Sibral), and of combined bonding agents and other additions.
IZOBREX®

IZOBREX®

IZOBREX® refractory boards are manufactured from a mixture of ceramic aluminosilicate fibers and mineral wool, bonded with organic and inorganic binders. IZOBREX® refractory boards are intended especially for thermal insulation within the temperature range of 400-800°C.
HOBREX

HOBREX

HOBREX mineral fiber boards are manufactured from mineral wool and organic binders. They feature dimensional stability and good thermally insulating properties. The boards are suitable exclusively for building interiors to provide insulation and thermal resistance of ventilation exhausts in bathroom units, for tiling and suspended ceilings, and as thermal and impact insulation on floors and in concrete.

TVAROFORM

TVAROFORM refractory and thermally insulating shaped forms are manufactured from aluminosilicate fibers suspended in water with the addition of an inorganic binder and a small quantity of organic binders.
