Insulation
IZOBREX®
Characteristic
The boards are manufactured in two types which differ in the basic mixture component proportion and the resulting different application temperature. For easier identification, the types of IZOBREX® boards are marked with colored bands:
- IZOBREX® 600 - for application at maximum temperatures of 600°C, identified with green bands
- IZOBREX® 800 - for application at maximum temperatures of 800°C, identified with blue bands
Due to high temperatures, the organic binder burns out, partially reducing the board consistency and strength. For this reason, the organic binder is combined with an inorganic one, as even a small quantity of inorganic binder improves board consistency in heat considerably, although it does not reach the consistency level of boards bonded solely with inorganic binders. IZOBREX® boards are used for thermal insulation in a number of products in power engineering, mechanical and electrical engineering, glass industry, for the insulation of cable systems and as part of fire -protection precautions in the technological sections of facilities and buildings. They are also used for thermal insulation of the lining of periodically working furnaces, boilers, etc.
